Thomas C. Murray is a nationally recognized keynote speaker, author, and educator known for blending clarity, authenticity, and practical insight to help leaders strengthen culture, build belief, and show up with greater intention. He serves as Director of Innovation for Future Ready SchoolsⓇ, a project of All4Ed located in Washington, D.C., where he works at the intersection of leadership, policy, and practice to support learner-centered transformation at scale.

Murray has testified before the United States Congress and collaborated with the U.S. Senate, the White House, the U.S. Department of Education, and school systems and organizations across the country. As a keynote speaker, Tom is known for engaging, story-driven sessions that challenge thinking, spark reflection, and leave audiences with something they can use the very next day.

An ASCD best-selling author, Murray is the co-author of Learning Transformed: 8 Keys to Designing Tomorrow's Schools, Today and the author of Personal & Authentic: Designing Learning Experiences that Impact a Lifetime. He has been recognized as one of District Administration's Top 100 Influencers in Education, the Education Policy Person of the Year by the Academy of Arts and Sciences, EdTech Digest's National EdTech Leader of the Year, and NSBA's 20 to Watch, among other honors.

Before his national work, Tom served as a principal and classroom teacher at both the elementary and secondary levels, and then as a district leader in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. That experience still grounds everything he does. He brings credibility from the field, humility from experience, and a relentless belief that the gap between who we are and who we're capable of becoming is smaller than we think.

Tom lives in Pennsylvania with his wife Tammy and their two children, Paisley and Caden, who, alongside his faith, have taught him more about belief than any book ever could.

In a world where stress, burnout, and disconnection have become increasingly common, thrive offers something refreshing: evidence-based strategies presented in a way that is accessible, practical, and deeply human.

Dr. Chris Culver, Kindness Advocate

I have spent years making the case that burnout is not a personal failure. It is a biological signal. Josh builds that case brilliantly, chapter by chapter, with science that respects his readers' intelligence and personal stories that lower their defenses.
